The Minneapolis River Towers was built in 1964 as a showplace of downtown Minneapolis city living. It was the first such high rise complex of it's kind in Minneapolis and the features include 24 hour security, heated pool, 2 saunas, exercise room and outdoor track on the 27th floor, tennis courts, party room, easy access to the downtown Minneapolis Skyway System, and some of the most impressive views of the downtown skyline.

The complex consists of 512 units in two buildings. The A tower has 16 floors and the B tower has 27 floors. Units range in size from studios, one bedroom, and two bedrooms. Some owners have purchased two units and joined them together.

While a complex this large does have some turnover, there are many residents that have been living here 10, 15, and 20 years. If you should speak to any of the residents, most will gladly tell you how much they like the complex and all that it offers the inner-city dweller.
